300000 Ton Crude Oil Wharf Project in Yantai Port Kicked-off for Construction
On 27th June, the 300000 Ton Crude Oil Wharf Works in Yantai Port is kicked off for construction.The project is arranged in "butterfly" pattern, and the berth length is 470m, including two working platforms, four dolphins and six round mooring piers, connected by a pedestrian steel bridge between the pier and work platforms, and the pier is connected with land by a 217 meters long steel trestle. A fire fighting control platform is located in the middle of the trestle, affiliated with a substation, a fire control room and foam tank house. A spiral submerged arc welded pipeline is arranged on the trestle as crude oil transport corridor between the pier and land.
The project is enlisted in "Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone Development Plan" as one of the key transportation construction projects. The successful completion of the project will further promote influence for Yantai West Port in acting as the core of supertankers docking ports in the region.
