Wu Yongtao, FHEC Chairman of the Board, Made a Working Guidance and Inspection at Mombasa- Nairobi Railway Project in Kenya
On July1st, FHEC chairman of the board, Wu Yongtao, accompanied by FHEC deputy general manager Wang Hongtao, and Ma Baocheng the project director as well, went to the worksite of Mombasa- Nairobi Railway Project in Kenya for works research guidance. And a work meeting was held on the project site.
At the meeting, the project management made a general report on progress, project characteristics and the next works programme; Deputy general manager, Wang Hongtao, conveyed essence of the speech made by the vice president Chen Yun of China Communications Construction Company for the project; the project director and FHEC deputy general manager Ma Baocheng made a specific work arrangement, and managers from overseas business unit and engineering department of FHEC also made relevant statements during the meeting.
Chairman Wu stressed in his speech, management staff and workers should have full understanding about Mombasa-Nairobi Railway Project as a political and diplomatic project in the true sense, and we need to be more solid, more passionate, more responsible in our works to complete the difficult construction tasks and bear great social responsibility; we should cherish the opportunity and humbly learn from China Road and Bridge Corporation staff about their experience accumulated over the years abroad, and study them in engineering organization, the successful practice of project management.
Chairman Wu made specific requirements in the project works: First, the project department must unify their thinking to the speech made by CCCC vice president Chen Yun, and the works arrangements made by the project director; Second, FHEC headquarters must grant full authority to the site management as to support on-site decisions to reduce decision costs; Third, to have a global vision, to resolve international issues with an international approach, and to unswervingly push forward the project in territorial management; Fourth, to effectively improve the project management level, to acquire efficiency in management and to achieve the maximum benefit for CCCC.
