Large Scale Vessel Successfully Berthed at SIDC Coal Wharf in Meizhou Port

On May 5th, a vessel loaded with ZPMC terminal unloader cranes safely berthed at the coal wharf in SDIC Meizhou Port, marking the coal wharf, built by FHEC, can accommodate large scale vessels.

Coal Terminal Wharf Project SDIC Meizhou Port started on November 10th, 2011. The works mainly includes the construction for a pier, an approach bridge, a guide dike, access way & yard, windbreak, civil engineering & road, rail loading system and other facilities. The designed annual capacity is 15 million tons for coal unloading. The terminal consists a 70,000-ton berth and a 100,000-ton berth (Marine structures specification requirements are considered and constructed according to berthing a 200,000-ton bulk carrier design in the future), and the total length of the berths is 588 meters, patterned in gravity caisson structure composed of 20 caissons .
