Renovation & Upgrade Works for Hundred Years Old Trestle in Qingdao Successfully Completed

On April 25th, the Renovation & Upgrade Works for the Hundred Years Old Trestle in Qingdao wwas successfully completed and opened to the tourists. It is the second time for FHEC to undertake such works since the year 1984. 
The trestle, built in 1982, is a landmark structure for tourist and famous scenery spot in Qingdao. On May 26th 2013, the trestle was damaged and collapsed in an area of about 30m long due to an unexpected wind storm. The original dimension of the trestle is 440m long and 8m wide, made of steel structures.  
The major works carried out in the middle segment of the trestle includes backfill, masonry walls and cap slab reinforced decking slab & surface panel replacement, bridge main body, and foundation consolidations for the Yanlan House and bottom row frame reinforcement.
The works was completed ahead of time retaining the original style but in a safer and sound base, which acquired many positive comments from tourists and the client.
