Completion and Acceptance of Qingdao Cruise Terminal, Contracted and Executed by CCCC-FHEC

The cruise terminal in Qingdao, China, contracted and executed by No.2 Eng. Co., Ltd. of CCCC-FHEC, was inspected and accepted upon completion on 31 March 2013, symbolizing that Qingdao has now a special berth for gigantic cruises.

The terminal is located close to No.6 Wharf in the old port complex in Qingdao, China, and totals 490m in length. The top elevation of the terminal is+6.2m while the water depth is -13.5m, making the terminal capable of berthing the world’s largest cruise, “Ocean Oasis”, which has a capacity of 225,000 dwt.

Building a cruise terminal in Qingdao Port is an important decision made by Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Qingdao government at the 11th Municipal Congress of the CPC and it is also a significant act to accelerate building of a more livable and happy modernized city.
