Harbin-Dalian High Speed Railway Starts Operation, CCCC-FHEC Took Part in Construction

Four bullet trains of Type CRH380B left the stations in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang, Changchun, capital of Jilin, Shenyang, capital of Liaoning, and Dalian, port city in Liaoning, simultaneously at 9 am on 1st Dec., 2012 to mark the official operation of the world’s first railway line in regions with extremely low temperatures – Harbin-Dalian High Speed Railway Line, of which CCCC-FHEC took part in the construction.

The railway line extending 921 km with designed speeds of up to 350 km per hour links Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces with a total number of 23 stops along the route, including stations at Harbin Xi, Changchun, Changchun Xi, Shenyang Bei, Shenyang, Dalian Bei, and Dalian.

Works Package TJ-3 of Harbin-Dalian High-Speed Railway Project executed by CCCC-FHEC was located in Dehui and Fuyu in Jilin Province, totaling 67.8 kilometers. CCCC-FHEC worked very hard and accomplished each of the tasks with good quality and high efficiency, contributing greatly to the Northeast Region entering “High-Speed Railway Era”.

The operation of Harbin-Dalian High Speed Railway brings closer the major cities in the Northeast Region. It will take only some 3.5 hours to get to Dalian from Harbin, which is less than 40% of the time spent in the past by taking normal railways.

With the operation of Harbin-Dalian High Speed Railway, China has now more than 8,600 kilometers of operating high-speed railways, which signals that China has entered the “High-Speed Railway Era” in an all-round way, becoming a country with the world’s fastest developed high-speed railways and the longest high-speed railway lines.
